I am a Vietnam veteran. I was not treated vey well when returning stateside sometime in 73. I still have negative feelings about it all. There are many veterans like myself who left a lot there and still carry that grief and regret here. We did our duty, most if asked would do it again. Why did we fight that war? Who won? Does it matter? Can you say the same about sandbox vets?
Some business will go out of there way to provide a freebees to a vet, a way of thanking them for their service. I am thankful for this for most Vietnam Vets never had a parade or a even a thank you. It may be seem insignificant but to many vets it is not.
Want to thank those folks at Applebee's and Premier Vision in Northwood, Ohio. I and many other vets got a great meal. Premier Vision provided me with a free pair of glasses of which I am wearing. If you go to Applebee's or Premier Vision, then tell them thanks from Sgt. Pete.
Teaser:
I am still working on Premier Vision pics, seems some are shy, but persistence wins. Maybe if they call, then I will come over. What about Monday at 8 am?
If you want, all pics taken on November 11, 2024 can be seen via this link to Walgreens.
