This page covers my grandson's first birthday and then a ride to Maryland to say goodbye to my niece's mother-in-law, Bonnie Borsa. I upload all pics to Walgreens, to see them click on links at bottom of each blog page.
We drove on February 17th to Columbus to celebrate my grandson's first birthday with family and friends. Spent some time with the other side of the family. All was good. Ate cake and spent some time getting a good laughs from my niece Lily. She is a character, in a good way, thank you. Anyway I was able to hold it together for the ride home. My grandson, Parker is at 23 pounds being too heavy to hold, I gave him back to his grandmother.
The next weekend on February 23, Gramma and I drove to Frederick, MD to say good by to Bonnie Mary Borsa. Hillary, my niece, married her first born son, Andrew. Bonnie was an very impressive woman. She obtained a PHD in Pharmacology and Toxicology, she was a college professor, President of the School board, President of both Frederick Bird Club and Maryland Ornithological Society, and was famous for lemon and raspberry bars. What a wonderful woman and mother. Sometimes I believe I can feel the presents of the departed. I know it may be me, but I do believe I can. Being psychic or maybe just a little psychotic is just an unchosen lot. Bonnie was present, loud and clear, her spirit ran up and down my spine. I had to sit. Those who loved her much was present too. I should be so lucky that I have that many folks to say good bye. I estimated over 200 were present for the ceremony. We all ate great, thank you Bill for that meal, not many left overs.
Afterwards we went to Andrew and Hillary to spend time with Jack and Violet. Violet, daughter of my nephew Danny was mad at me for I converted her sneakers hence having instant value. Violet has a great memory and will not forget my desire to have her sneakers. Jack, son of my niece, is strong and I believe he will be an astronaut. He is calm around folks and nothing gets him excited, just taking it all in, better start saving for expected flight school expense prior to astronaut training. Again we ate well there. I met Alex's friends from NYC, they were great and with greater laugher, thank you NYC folks. I will print some pics via Walgreen and have Andrew distribute. Way too long here. Here are my teasers.
